Hey Y’all! Been a minute, but here I am with my creative juices flowing and LOTS of updates!
I wanted to start off by saying that I have completed my first year at Olivet College. Yay! I got my custom major approved, Sustainable Agriculture, made lasting memories, played Golf, and loved every minute. I cannot wait for fall!

Also, I have been able to continue coaching junior golf and assist with coaching a local high school team. I was even given my own team to coach at a few tournaments and had many “proud coach smiles.” Fun times!

Secondly, I am interning at the Traverse City Golf and Country Club in Traverse City, Michigan and you guessed it... I LOVE IT!!! I wake up every day (just about jumping) knowing I get to interact with the amazing crew, work for our wonderful superintendent (Steve Hammon, GREAT mentor), and do it all for the lovely members and guests. I just LOVE that place!

PLUS, I get to explore and learn something new EVERYDAY! I FOUND FAIRY RING AND I got to INVESTIGATE!

We have BASAL ROT ANTHRACNOSE!
AND the EIGHTH WONDER OF THE WORLD (aka 15 green)!!! I feel like a kid watching a dinosaur display at a museum (except I am not holding samples and wearing a basal rot anthracnose shirt, although that is a great idea. Is Turf Tshirts reading this?) To summarize, I am GEEKING OUT!

Next, I am proud to announce that I will be doing social media/branding work for the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program and the National Turfgrass Federation. I am extremely excited about joining this group and for the chance to promote my passion, turf research. We cannot wait to hit the ground running. Stay tuned for more ahead!
Finally, I leave for the US Women’s Open THIS WEEK! (I am not shaking from excitement, you are!) I get to work among some of the greatest leaders and professionals once again at a MAJOR tournament!

I also get to reconnect with some phenomenal friends and mentors as well as meet new ones. Not to mention some of these people are my heroes (ok maybe ALL of them (did I mention I get to finally meet THE. DR. DEVON. CARROLL. What will I wear??)) and I get to spend a week with them IN THE CAROLINAS!
MASSIVE things are happening, and I could not be more thrilled!
